Amazingly, there is proof that healing affirmations do actually heal! Just take a look at You Can Heal Your Life by Louise L. Hay. Here is a link for Amazon if you want to check it out. I highly recommend it. UK USA. She certainly knows how to be happy.
She tells of healing herself of cancer just by the use of affirmations. Of course, they helped her change her thinking, forgive people in her past, and change her diet for a more healthy version. But it all originated from affirmations. They were the vehicle she used to change her thought patterns. And she had no surgery or medications.
I'm not guaranteeing that if you have cancer your results will be the same. Everyone is different but Louise's results certainly give us confidence in healing affirmations.
They work on the premiss that we create our world by the thoughts and attitudes we have.
It has been scientifically proven that anger has a massive adverse effect on our bodies. There are also studies on how other emotions affect us too.
Our emotions are caused by our thoughts. If we want to change our emotions we then need to change our thoughts.
And our thoughts can be changed by affirmations statements.
Before we get to the list of affirmations I want to mentions that Healing affirmations can really work, as long as you accompany them with visualisation and belief.
Positive affirmations need to be accompanied by a strong emotion to be most affective. This is how to make affirmations that work. So, visualise your healthy self whilst saying the healing affirmation and believe that you will get well.
So, these are healing affirmations with the emphasis on our health. But in order to become healthy we may find we need to reverse the cause of the dis-ease.
We can sometimes ascertain the emotional reasons for the dis-ease and this can be helpful. There are so many emotional causes of ill health, but they can be generalised into a few categories.
Louise Hay, in her book You Can Heal Your Life, UK USA has a list of healing affirmations at the back. She noticed from her many clients she saw, that certain dis-eases had certain thought pattern causes. So she devised a list of affirmation statements that would reverse the trend of the dis-ease, so to speak, and thus heal the person.
Here are some examples.
Louise says a stiff neck suggests "unbending bullheadedness" and her suggested self affirmation is "It is safe to see other viewpoints".
I noticed this to be true for me when I got a stiff neck. I recognised where I was being stubborn, and when I let that go, using the affirmation statement, my neck became flexible again.
She suggests that constipation is caused by "refusing to release old ideas. Stuck in the past. Sometimes stinginess."
Her suggested affirmation statement is "As I release the past, the new and fresh and vital enter. I allow life to flow through me". This makes so much sense to me.
Her suggestion that lower back pain is caused by "Fear of money. Lack of financial support" rings true for me because I've noticed a pain there when I've been shopping whilst short of money. The affirmation "I trust the process of life. All I need is always taken care of. I am safe."is one I've found very helpful.
As you can tell I'm a fan of Louise Hay and want to tell you that in between each chapter of the above book, she has beautiful affirmation statements that flow so well.
I'm going to give you one of them here as a taster.
In the infinity of life where I am,
all is perfect whole and complete.
I accept health as a natural state of my being.
I now consciously release any mental patterns within me
that could express as dis-ease in any way.
I love and approve of myself.
I love and approve of my body.
I feed it nourishing foods and beverages,
I exercise it in ways that are fun.
I recognise my body as a wondrous and magnificent machine,
and I feel privileged to live in it.
I love lots of energy.
All is well in my world.
Isn't that a wonderful affirmation statement? It actually consists of many healing affirmations all rolled into one.
