Always Moving Towards Happiness.

This site, Towards Happiness, was conceived by my daughter Helen of Spiritual Encyclopedia. She did the ground work for it using Site Build It! and got up to Day 6 of the Action Guide.

Searching

I had been searching for a good site concept that would encompass all of my passions and Towards Happiness more than fit the bill. So when Helen decided to go onto other projects I was very excited to take it over. And I have really made it my own. I've expanded on her original plan to encompass all my knowledge, experiences and passions.

Grateful

Helen told me the other day. "You're doing a better job of Towards-Happiness.com that I would mum, because you've had more life experiences." Of course I have! I'm 30 years older than her. :-) But I wouldn't wish some of my life experiences on her.

I am grateful to her for doing the essential groundwork needed to create a successful site, and I am also grateful to SBI! for making the whole process so enjoyable and easy for technical babies like me.

Oh, You Want to Know a Bit About Me?

Well, my name is Patricia Hope and my life experiences include, being a waitress, a market researcher, pizza deliverer, catalogue distributor, housekeeper, cook, child care worker, nanny, governess, home educating mother, writer ....

.... deep breath ....

.... being a lone parent of two girls after 4 years of motherhood, several failed businesses, a divorce, experiencing depression and attempted suicide - my own (when I was a child) and that of family and friends ....

....being an EFT practitioner, planning and hosting conferences in Europe (as part of team), having my home repossessed, much debt, and unemployment with no social security benefit (several times) ....

I've had a career as a school teacher for 30 years. Much of that has been as a supply (substitute) teacher and some has been as a trained Teacher of the Deaf....

I've lived and worked in many different parts of England and Wales (I'm English) and also in Kuwait and the states of North Carolina and Montana in the USA....

I've spent most of my life trying to become a better person. I've explored different religions, different denominations of Christian churches and spirituality in general. I have a very deep faith in the Divine which has helped me become the person I am today.

Have I Arrived Yet?

No, I still have a long ways to go in the 'becoming a better person' stakes. However, I have changed enormously in the last 20 or so years, that my own children have noticed!

I am so much happier than I was 20 years ago, and while I'm still working on my being a totally positive person, I'm certainly moving towards happiness.

So, How Do I Spend My Time These Days?

Well, apart from doing writing projects like this site, I'm doing some crafty things. Take a look at my fibre art.
